Insiders within the Liverpool hierarchy believe that Leao could seamlessly fill the void left by the departure of Sadio Mane. The former Liverpool player made a high-profile move to Bayern Munich before joining Saudi Pro League team Al-Nassr.

At 24 years old, Leao is currently regarded as one of Europe’s most sought-after talents. His impressive track record includes 47 goals in 182 appearances for AC Milan in various competitions since his transition from French club Lille. Notably, his existing contract with Milan extends until the summer of 2028.

While Liverpool previously secured the services of Diaz from Porto, his impact at the club has been hindered by injuries. Since his arrival in January 2022, the Colombian international has managed to score 16 goals in 69 appearances for the Premier League leaders.
