Kamal Sowah scored for Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League.

Kamal Sowah has described his debut goal for Belgian side Club Brugge which was against FC Porto on Tuesday, 13 September 2022, in the UEFA Champions League Group B clash as 'special'.

The Ghanaian winger doubled his side's lead two minutes into the second half at the Estadio Dragão.

This was after Ferran Jutgla converted an early spot kick in the 15th minute after the Spaniard was brought down iby João Mario.

Sowah said: "I scored my first ever goal for club and that's an incredible feeling and that happening in a Champions League match makes it even more special.

''Of course I am overjoyed with my goal, but I admit very well that this goal achieved through the preparatory work of my teammates.

''With this second win in a row we have tallied six points and that alone can be called a solid performance.

''I'm also very happy for all our traveling supporters who probably won't soon forget this trip.''

Sowah was loaned to Dutch side AZ last season but recalled by coach Carl Hoefkens and the 22-year-old ready to grab this opportunity with both hands.

Club Brugge are on top of the table six points from two matches.
