Uganda U-20 coach charges players to deliver against Ghana

Uganda U20 coach Paul Nkata has told his players to step up against Ghana or face elimination from the squad.

The Hippos hosts the Black Satellites on Saturday for the first leg of the penultimate African Youth Championship qualifier in Nakibubo.

And Nkata, a former Uganda Cranes international has told has charged his players to come to the party against the former World champions or risk getting dropped for the return encounter to be played in a fortnight.

“Every player I am going to give a chance must grab it and use it,” he said.

“Otherwise those that don’t show the mental will be dropped for the return leg in Accra.

“Ghana is a strong side and everyone knows that, although we are not afraid of them.”

The winner of this tie will face either Morocco or Gambia in the penultimate qualifier for a spot in the championship proper which will be hosted in Algeria next year.

Goalkeeper: Salim Jamal

Defenders: Nicholas Wadada,Joseph Ochaya, Misi Katende, Yusuf Mukisa

Midfielders: Baba Kizito, Khalid Aucho, Julius Ogwang, Robert Omunuk

Strikers: George Abege, ErisaSsekisambu.
