Under-fire Black Stars goalkeeper Razak Abalora excluded from Kotoko squad to face WAFA

Black Stars goalkeeper Razak Abalora will not be in action this weekend after he was not included in Asante Kotoko's squad for the important Ghana Premier League clash with WAFA.

Coach Mariano Barreto named 18-man squad without Abalora who has been Kotoko’s first-choice goalkeeper this season.

Abalora has come under criticism from fans for failing to live up to expectations in recent games.

In the last matchday, he committed a howler as Kotoko were held to a 1-1 draw by struggling Liberty Professionals in Sogakope.

His exclusion paves way for either Felix Annan or Kwame Baah to start in goal against the Academy boys on Saturday.

Any of them who gets the opportunity to start must stake a claim to take over the number one spot.

Also, not named in the squad is Brazilian attacker Michael Vinicius.

Kotoko will remain top of the league with victory at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

Kotoko squad:

GOALKEEPERS: Kwame Baah, Felix Annan

DEFENDERS: Yussif Mubarik, Habib Mohammed, Imoro Ibrahim, Abdul Ganiyu Ismael, Samuel Frimpong, Christopher Nettey

MIDFIELDERS: Mudasiru Salifu, Emmanuel Keyekeh, Abdul Latif Anabila, Fabio Gama, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Godfred Asiamah, Augustine Okrah

STRIKERS: Andy Kumi, Evans Adomako, Solomon SarfoTaylor
