VIDEO: Ghana forward Emmanuel Gyasi on target as Spezia draw against Sassuolo in Italy

Published on: 06 December 2021

Ghana forward Emmanuel Gyasi netted his third goal of the season in the Italian serie A as Spezia were held at home by Sassuolo on Sunday, December 5, 2021.

The 27-year-old gave his side a two goal lead just two minutes after the break as he connected to an M'Bala Nzola assist. Rey Manaj opened the scoring for the Eagles in the 35th minute after a dominant first half display.

However, a late surge by the visitors saw them claw back to draw 2-2 in the final 25 minutes.

Italian forward Gaincomo Paspodori pulled one back in the 66th minute before he completed the comeback with a 79th minute strike.

Gyasi lasted 75 minutes and was replaced by Petko Hristov.

The draw keeps Spezia out of the relegation zone and are two points ahead of Caleb Ekuban's Genoa in 18th position.

The Ghanaian attacker has played 15 of 16 serie A games this season, scoring three time for the club.
