Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey scored a fantastic solo goal for Atlético Madrid in their 2-2 draw with Valencia in the Spanish LaLiga on Friday.
Partey showed his importance to the Rojiblancos once again as his first half well drilled strike secured them a point against Valencia at the Mestalla.
Atlético commenced the game brightly before going ahead in the 15th minute through Marcos Llorente.
But Valencia fought back and deservedly found the equalizer via Gabriel Paulista’s simple heading goal on the 40th minute mark.
The visitors however regained their lead three minutes later courtesy Thomas Partey. The Ghana international unleashed a shot from outside the box after a superb solo run.
Valencia found the leveler again after dominating the large part of the second half through Geoffrey Kondogbia in the 59th minute of the game.
Partey enjoyed full throttle of action as Atlético Madrid left the Mestalla with a point to move up to 4th on the standings with 40 points after 24 matches.
He has netted 22 goals in 22 league games for the club in the ongoing season.
