Hearts of Oak coach C.K Akunnor insists his side stand a good chance of beating Asante Kotoko in the weekendââ¬â¢s big Ghanaian derby.
The Phobians have managed back-to-back wins under Akunnor who had a stuttering start after taking over from Serbian Nebojsa Vucicevic.
Hearts in their last league outing thrashed All Stars 3-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium and the ex Black Stars captain believes his side is coming to form at just the right time â⬓ enough to upset the almost certain champions at the end of the current campaign.
ââ¬ÅThey (Kotoko) are in really good shape but we are building up gradually,â⬠he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
ââ¬ÅEvery match we dwell on our mistakes and see the way forward.
ââ¬ÅWeââ¬â¢ve worked very hard this week, tomorrow we will continue till Friday.
ââ¬ÅAnd so if we are able to do our homework very well I think we will go there and challenge them on their own grounds.ââ¬
Akunnor was however tight-lipped on his game plan for Sunday but insisted he is well furnished with the strengths and weaknesses of his opponent.
ââ¬ÅIt will be improper for me to tell you about that,â⬠he said.
ââ¬ÅWe have assessed them and we are working on their strengths and their weaknesses.ââ¬
