China-based midfielder Mubarak Wakaso scored the only goal as Ghana beat Ethiopia 1-0 at the Cape Coast Stadium.
Wakaso's long-range effort passed through the hands and legs of the visiting goalkeeper Teklemariam Shanko as the Black Stars made a winning start to the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The win takes coach Charles Akonnor's side to the summit of Group G after the first round of matches because South Africa and Zimbabwe drew goalless.
