WAFU U20 Championship: Ghana coach Karim Zito names strong starting lineup for Niger clash, captain Afriyie Barnieh benched

Ghana U20 head coach Karim Zito has named his squad for WAFU Cup clash against Niger on Tuesday in Benin.

The Black Satellites take on Menas in the first semi-finals of the tournament at the Stade Charles de Gaulle in Porto-Novo.

The winner of this encounter will pick one of the slots to the final, and a passage to next year’s U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Mauritania.

Zito has made alterations to the team that lost to Ivory Coast in the last group game on Saturday as captain Daniel Afriyie Barnieh is benched.

Percius Boah who netted the match winner in the first group game against Nigeria has returned to the squad and will partner Abdul Mugeese Zakaria upfront.

Emmanuel Essiam and Huda Issah will be the two anchor in midfield with Mathew Anim Cudjoe and Sulemana Mohammed supporting them on the wings.
