Black Starlets defeated Division One League side Nania FC 2-0 in a warm-up match on Thursday ahead of the WAFU Zone B U-17 Cup of Nations.

Coach Samuel Fabin's side beat the former FA Cup finalists with two sublime second-half goals at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Douglas Owusu scored in the 75th minute after latching on to a great team move down the left side.

In the 88th minute, with two minutes remaining, Charles Dodzie got on the end of a nicely delivered cross to score the second goal.

The Starlets have gone undefeated in five friendlies against second-tier teams, and they are building momentum ahead of the two International championships.

Tudu Mighty Jets, Accra City Stars, Kwaebibirem FC, and Asokwa Deportivo were their previous opponents.

In June, the team will compete in two international tournaments: the GFA/UEFA Assist 4-Nation Tournament and the WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations.

The WAFU Zone B U-17 Cup of Nations will be held at the Cape Coast Stadium from Saturday, June 11 to Friday, June 24, 2022.
