We are on the right way nonetheless the challenges faced - Ghana FA President Kurt Okraku

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) boss Mr. Kurt Okraku has said his administration is the right way nonetheless the challenges faced.

Mr. Okraku took over the Ghana FA from a Normalisation Committee following the ban of the then President Kwesi Nyantakyi and other officials.

This followed an investigative piece by renowned journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas in June 2017 which exposed the rots and corruption in Ghana football.

Mr. Okraku was elected into office in October 2019 but has since faced a rollercoaster spell with the global pandemic COVID-19 also coming into play.

Notwithstanding all these challenges, the Ghana FA boss believes they are on the right path.

"I knew from day one we were taking over Ghana football at the time it was most challenged for which reason it wasn't going to be an easy road bringing back the sport," he expressed.

"I was very much aware of this but I have always been determined to study the ship, to lay down the good foundation and ensure that not only national teams become very competitive.

"But also our domestic leagues become very interesting and indeed I think that on the score of what has happened in the last one and half years we are on the right way."
