We were successful in the just ended season- Kotoko CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah

Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah says the club had a successful season despite ending the season without a trophy.

The Porcupine Warriors' campaign came to a crushing end after suffering a penalty shootout defeat to Berekum Chelsea in Obuasi in the MTN FA Cup quarter finals.

The Reds had earlier lost the Ghana Premier League title to fierce rivals Hearts of Oak.

However, the CEC of the club believes it was a successful campaign with the team playing all their games away from their favourite Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

"We were successful in the just ended season but that wasn't our target. The target was to at least win the league title," he told Oyerepa FM.

"We had a better away results than Hearts of Oak but our home performance wasn't the best. Playing our games in Accra and Obuasi didn't help us.

"We paid Gh¢ 10,700 per each home game at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi."
