Torino midfielder Afriyie Acquah is just a step away from completing his move to Serie A newcomers Empoli, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

The 26-year-old is expected to sign a three-year deal with an option for a fourth worth €2.5m, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

The Ghana international was considering a move to his former club Parma and Udinese who launched a late bid to sign him.

Acquah has been playing with Torino since 2015 and his contract is due to expire next summer.

But he refused to extend his contract with Torino amid interest from several clubs including English side West Brom.
