World Cup 2010: Ghana coach worried over lack of goals

Published on: 24 June 2010

Ghana's lack of goals in open play is causing coach Milovan Rajevac concern before the round-of-16 match against the United States at the World Cup.

Rajevac says his team is excellent at creating chances but can't finish off its moves.

Ghana advanced to meet the U.S. despite losing 1-0 to Germany on Wednesday.

The team scored only two penalties in its three Group D matches, beating Serbia 1-0 and drawing 1-1 with an Australian side reduced to 10 men for most of the match.

Rajevac says the Black Stars must start scoring ``some proper goals'' if it wants to progress at the World Cup.

Ghana and the United States play at Rustenburg on Saturday.
