Aduana Stars striker Yahaya Mohammed could miss their Ghana Premier League opener against Hearts of Oak at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park this weekend.
Yahaya picked an injury in Aduana's pre-season friendly match against Nkoranza Warriors over the weekend.
Although sources close to the club confirm it is not a serious injury, Yahaya has not reported training this week.
The club are not confident Yahaya would return to training before the match on Saturday.
Yahaya is Aduana's best player and they would be hoping to have him available as they have set sights on unbeaten home record this season.
The game is the first of the 2020/21 league season, which promises to be competitive.
