Ghanasoccernet.com understands that Yaw Preko has been appointed as Great Olympics assistant coach after impressing as interim coach.

Preko was appointed as interim coach in the absence of Annor Walker, who took a sick leave.

The former Hearts of Oak striker, with help from Godwin Attram, did a fantastic job. The management has decided to keep him, but as an assistant coach.

Walker is said to be happy with Preko serving as his assistant.

Preko, as interim coach, was on the sidelines for five games and secured three victories including the famous 2-0 win against Hearts of Oak.

Initial reports suggested he was heading to Hearts of Oak to take over from Kosta Papic, who resigned on Monday.
