Yusif Abubakar is delighted that the real Heart of Lions turned up in their 2-0 win over Kotoko on Sunday.
The giant killers scored twice through Isaac Osae and Koney Idan in the first half to record their 4th win of the season.
The Kpando-based side went into the tie following their defeat at New Edubiase andà coach Abubakar was left satisfied with his charges output against the defending League champions.
ââ¬ÅWe analysed everything over the past few days and saw that certain things could have gone differently,â⬠Abubakar said
ââ¬ÅWe played well and deserved the win. My boys were aggressive and wanted to win this game at all cost.
ââ¬ÅIn the end it paid off as we managed to score the two goals. At that point I knew Kotoko could not equalize. We have to keep the spirit going and keep working hard.ââ¬
Lions trail Kotoko by six points.
