Zanetti: Inter target would do well in any team

Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti has heaped praise upon Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi, as the Nerazzurri continue to be linked with a move for the Argentine international during the January transfer window.

The well-known former Napoli man is out of contract with Les Parisiens in June, and Zanetti believes the former San Lorenzo forward would be an excellent addition to Roberto Mancini’s squad.

“I know him[Lavezzi] very well and he talks about Inter a lot,” Zanetti told Mediaset Premium.

“He is a great champion and would do very well in any team.

“If we get a chance to do something then we will do it.”

The Milanese giants are looking to add quality to their squad as they aim to strengthen their Serie A title challenge, which they last captured in 2010.

During his time with Napoli, the 30-year-old made 188 appearances in all competitions for the Partenopei, whilst also scoring 48 goals before making a €26.5 million move to the reigning French champions in 2012.
