France legend Zinedine Zidane is expected in Ghana in October this year for a sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of a Qatar 2022 Girls Village.
The facility will be situated at Tampion in the Northern Region of the country.
Zidane has been invited by his former international team-mate and close friend Marcel Desailly, a Qatar 2022 World Cup ambassador.
"Zidane is my good friend and we have worked together on humanitarian projects and I will bring him to Ghana in October to continue his Qatar 2022 project in Ghana," Desailly said.
"He will cut the sod for the building of the Village, which will represent the everlasting legacy of the World Cup in Africa."
Some African countries will benefit from Qatar's hosting of the 2022 World Cup.
As part of its broader legacy, the Arab state will donate the upper tier of some of its 12 stadiums to developing countries after the tournament.
