Sulley Muntari has been named in AC Milan squad to face Livorno

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has boosted hopes of making the Black Stars squad for the World Cup in June as he has returned from injury for AC Milan.

The 29-year-old has been named in a 23-man squad for his team’s match against Livorno in the Italian top-flight league on Saturday.

This shows that he has recovered from the calf injury that kept him out of action for two weeks which made some Ghanaians anxious with the World Cup looming.

Muntari picked up an injury while in action for the Italian giants in their match against Chievo two weeks ago.

The Black Stars midfielder pulled up with a calf injury and was replaced by compatriot Michael Essien a minute to half-time.

The former Inter Milan man is expected to be named in Ghana’s squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Milan squad to face Livorno: Abbiati, Amelia, Gabriel, Abate, Bonera, Constant, De Sciglio, Mexes, Rami, Silvestre, Zaccardo, Zapata, Emanuelson, De Jong, Kaka, Montolivo, Muntari, Poli, Saponara, Taarabt, Balotelli, Pazzini, Robinho

Where is Essien? This is the time for Ghana to show Essien the exit. He turned his back against us when he was in form and we needed him most. Now he wants to use the world cup to revive his dieing carrier. Our midfield is saturated so we must select those who play week in week out not 40 year olds who call themselves young

People are making a big elementary mistakes here!! Though essien has been poor for his clubs eversince he returned from his chronic injuries, he has been a gem for the bs! He have had virtuoso performance for the bs and it seems people or Ghanaians has short memories!! Against zambia in Kumasi, chipolopolo could have equalize if it wasn't for essien introduction by AA and his wonderful output for the team! He brought stability to the team and that alone should tell y'all how important essien is to Ghana in this WC! Again during the playoffs against Egypt in Kumasi, he was again the star attraction for Ghana and was my man of the match and am sure a lot of Ghanaians also elected him as the the most valuable player in that particular match!! The WC is not a JOKE and infact our so called awesome players are nothing than AVERAGE PLAYERS and mere fishes in the ocean and it ll be SUICIDAL for us if we forgo these experience players in the WC!!
