2016 Olympics: Ghana secure narrow victory over Congo in qualifier

Ghana's U-23 team defeated their Congolese counterparts 1-0 in their 2016 Olympic games qualifying first leg match on Saturday.

Enoch Ebo Andoh scored the only goal of the game in the 44th minute to give Ghana's Olympic team an advantage ahead of the second leg in Brazzaville next weekend.

Kotoko's Dauda Mohammed nearly added the second for with a minute to full-time after his shot rattled the post.

This was after the Congolese who are managed by ex Black Stars coach Claude Le Roy, enjoyed a good spell of possession in the second half though they failed to create major chances.

The second leg clash match is scheduled to be played in the weekend of 29-31 May 2015 with the winner progressing to the third round of the qualifiers.
