Black Stars B midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey has expressed his eagerness to beat Nigeria in the FOX WAFU Cup of Nations final to appease Ghanaian fans after CHAN failure.

Ghana failed to book a place in the 2018 CHAN tournament following their 4-3 aggregate loss to Burkina Faso last month.

However, the team has come good in the ongoing FOX WAFU Cup of Nations where they have booked a ticket to the grand final after beating Niger 2-0 on Thursday.

And according to Lomotey, who was adjudged Man of the Match in the Niger victory, is upbeat about the team's chances of lifting the cup to conciliate the Ghanaian football populace.

"The game against Nigeria is very important because we want to take revenge for the loss last time around."

"We know how they operate but it'll not be easy. We're going back to prepare very well for them. This game will be a great opportunity to redeem our image after we failed to qualify to the CHAN.  We'll fight with our all to redeem ourselves by lifting the cup. "
