Goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama has revealed his is making travel plans to return to Ghana in time to play for Hearts of Oak in their penultimate Premier League match on Sunday.
The 35-year-old is currently away on international duty with Burkina Faso as they prepare to face Botswana in a 2017 AFCON qualifier against Botswana.
Soulama is likely to start for the Stallions in the match to be played in Gaborone on Saturday.
This could prevent the experienced goalkeeper from taking part in Hearts’ important league game against Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.
But Soulama has revealed his is making travel arrangements to have him back in Ghana in time to play for the Phobians.
"I am with my country, but I am still thinking about Hearts because where we are on the league table is not good," he told the club’s official website.
"I have made travel arrangements to be back in Ghana for the match straight after our game with Botswana.
“I am still looking at the best possible way to return and help Hearts of Oak because this match is very important for us.
“I don't want to miss [the Berekum Chelsea match] and I am trying my best to be there because it is a very important game for our team.
"Our coaches are doing well to get me back on time and I am grateful to Eddie Ansah and Can Vanli.
“They are doing their very best for the team and God willing; their hard work will be rewarded on the field of play by the players."
Hearts of Oak are desperate to secure their Premier League status with a win over Berekum Chelsea in their final home game of the season.
