AC Milan sale delayed

Published on: 11 July 2016

The sale of AC Milan from president Silvio Berlusconi to a Chinese consortium faces yet more delays possibly until late July.

It was expected that Berlusconi would let 80% of the club go relatively soon before selling the remaining 20% at a later date, however Rossoneri fans will have to wait a little longer to see in their new owner.

According to Sky Sport 24, the signature from the Chinese bidder will have to wait a little bit longer to be signed, with the week beginning July 18 being the earliest date the sale could be completed, however the transfer of the club may not take place until the very end of July.

A possible reason for the delay is the will of Berlusconi to let the club go, and his reluctancy to do so has meant the sale cannot be officially completed just yet.
