Aduana Stars assistant coach Abdul Rahman Kwabena Ameyaw has expressed surprise the club’s to dispense with his services.

Ameyaw, who has been with the Dormaa-based club in his coaching career so far, was fired just hours after head coach Nurudeen Amadu resigned.

He revealed in an interview with Kumasi-based Sikka FM that he was hurt and furious about the reasons behind his dismissal

"I believe in a team when there are problems, we must find the root cause of the happenings.

"Two weeks or twenty days to the start of the league, I wasn't attending training since I was in Kumasi doing my CAF course.

"I wasn't part of the team that left for Accra for the first league game. When they went to play, I think there some problems so they decided to solve the problems but not knowing they have in mind that I'm inciting the players not to play for the coach.

"On Friday, the CEO of the club had a meeting with Aduana Stars supporters telling them I incited the players when they went to lose in Accra.

"I wasn't there. I even don't know the selection that played. I couldn't even watch the game on TV.

Ameyaw feels hurt his reputation has been torn apart after being labeled a saboteur.

"They brought me the letter on Monday around 2pm. The only thing I'm concerned with is the damage the CEO has done to me because of how I've branded myself and this man (the CEO) is making this irresponsible statement to damage my image,” he said.

"It's irresponsible because how could he organize supporters to tell them a coach is inciting his players when you don't have facts.

"I call it highly irresponsible, how could he (the CEO) say that to me. A team I've toiled with all my life to bring it to this level and I decide to break the team?

"How am I even going to the players to do this against the team? How will I say that? It's irresponsible. It has hurt me."
