Aduana Stars’ CEO, Albert Yaya Commey has called on government to learn a great lesson from the gesture of Asamoah Gyan to the Black Queens.

The Black Stars striker donated an amount of $30,000 to the senior female national team in fulfillment to a promise he made the team ahead of the All Africa Games in Congo Brazzaville.

The Shanghai SPIG striker honoured the promise by handing over the $30,000 cheque to the general Secretary of the Ghana Football Association yesterday.

Speaking to Ghanasoccernet.com after the gesture by Asamoah Gyan, the former Communications Director of Accra Hearts of Oak said “I want the government to pick a great lesson from the gentleman. He has shown them what they should have done,” Commey said.

“Were we not in this country when the government said all the national teams belong to them? So why the neglect? commey quizzed.

“We all know what happened to the Black Queens after they won gold at the All Africa Games. As to how they got there, nobody wants to know.”

“We must know that a team cannot go to a tournament without proper preparations. But the government abandoned all that.”

“Gyan came in to encourage them with a $10,000 package and promised them again which he has delivered. So the government must know how motivation and proper preparations can bring about laurels,” he concluded.
