Aduana Stars PRO Appiah Kubi wants GHALCA Boss Alhaji Raji to resign for tagging them a 'VIILAGE' club

The Public Relation Officer of Aduana Stars, Appiah Kubi has called for the resignation of the Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) Alhaji Raji for tagging the Dormaa-based side a village club.

Appiah believes the comments of the GHALCA Boss influenced the referee (Issaka Afful) to help Asante Kotoko win the maiden edition of the GHALCA G-6 tournament played last Sunday at the Essipong Stadium.

Asante Kotoko reigned supreme over their counterparts as Halipha Sedogo’s 50th minute strike robbed the 2010 Ghana Premier League champions any hopes of winning their first pre-season trophy.

In less than 24 hours after the game, the Public Relation Officer of the Dormaa-based club has alleged that the chairman of GHALCA had told the match referee that Aduana Stars is a “Village” team so it will not be proper for them to win the trophy.

“He Alhaji Raji said a village in the Brong Ahafo does not deserve to keep the GHALCA G6 trophy… and he even came to apologise today at the pre-match conference," Aduana PRO Appiah Kubi claimed.

“It is a disgrace for the chairman to make such serious comments and we believe his comments influenced the referee into cheating us in such a disgraceful manner."

“He (Alhaji Raji) came to the pre-match conference in the presence of Oduro Nyarko, Albert Commey and other members present and apologised to them for making such comments," Appiah Kubi added.

“We want him to resign from his post because his comments clearly indicated he is one of the people killing football in this country” He added.

But Alhaji Raji in his reply has rubbished those claims, stating Aduana Stars are sour losers.
