Ghana and Trabzonspor striker Abdul Majeed Waris says the Black Stars have no reason to be intimidated by their 2015 Africa Cup of Nations Group ââ¬Ëof Deathââ¬â¢ opponents.
The Black Stars, were pooled against two former Africa champions in Algeria (1990), South Africa (1996) and a resurgent Senegalese side who came close to winning the trophy in 2002.
Pundits have viewed Ghanaââ¬â¢s group as the most opened group with each team having an equal chance of making it to the knockout stages.
Waris, who is seeking to make his tournament debut in Equatorial Guinea, has exclusively told GHANASoccernet.com that the Black Stars neednââ¬â¢t fear .
ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s definitely a tough group with four potential winners. We are Ghana and am sure the other countries will look out for us,â⬠Waris told GHANASoccernet.com
ââ¬ÅWe will not be swayed because we are in a tough group because we are capable of beating any team.ââ¬
The Black Stars will open their account against Senegal in Mongomo on 19 January before engaging playing South Africa and Algeria.
