Africa set for U20 World Cup without giants Ghana, Nigeria

Africa are set to participate in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup without giants Ghana and Nigeria.

The two powerhouses failed to qualify for the just-ended Africa Youth Championship held in Zambia.

The host beat Senegal 2-0 to win the crown to join Guinea and South Africa as the continent's representative ahead of the World Cup in South Korea.

Ghana's Black Satellites failed to qualify for the tournament after losing to Senegal while Nigeria’s Flying Eagles also lost to Sudan in the qualifying campaign.
