Agyemang-Badu suffers UEFA Champions League heartbreak

Midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu and his Udinese side have been eliminated from this season's UEFA Champions League.

The Ghana international was a 46th minute substitute for the Little Zebras who were ousted 5-4 on penalties by Portuguese side Braga in the play-offs.

Pablo Armero's 25th-minute header for the hosts was cancelled out by another header, from Ruben Micael, in the 72nd-minute.

Both sides were tied 2-2 on aggregate and extra-time produced no more goals and so the contest went to penalties.

Brazilian substitute Maicosuel tried to emulate Andrea Pirlo's effort for Italy against England at Euro 2012 by nonchalantly chipping the ball into the middle of the goal but mis-hit his shot and allowed Braga's goalkeeper Beto to save.
