Dutch giants Ajax to rescue Liverpool misfit Mario Balotelli

Dutch giants Ajax are willing to offer Liverpool misfit Mario Balotelli the chance to revive his career but the salary demands of the striker of Ghanaian descent is the sticking point.

The Italy international has returned to Liverpool but has not included in Jurgen Klopp's plans for next season after another failed season at AC Milan.

The 26-year-old might get out a difficult situation by joining Ajax who have tabled an offer, according to Daily Mirror.

His agent (as controversial as Balotelli himself), Mino Raiola, has already started talks regarding the move to the former European champions.

However the Dutch club are unwilling to meet the salary demands of Balotelli as they will not go beyond their budget.

Ajax say they will not grant any of their players an annual salary higher than £2.5m.

Balotelli earns £5m at Liverpool and might not accept the huge pay cut.
