Middlesbrough's automatic English Premier League campaign is in the balance following their inability to win at Birmingham City on Friday.

The Boro were held to a 2-2 draw at the St Andrew's Stadium by the Blues, leaving Aitor Karanka's men just a point better than 2nd and 3rd placed Burnley and Brighton who both have a game each in hand.

Uruguay international Gaston Ramirez scored to put Middlesbrough ahead after the hosts had taken an early lead.

Middlesbrough could slip to third place which is the play-off zone if both Burnley and Bright get positive results in their games on Tuesday.

Burnley host Queens Park Rangers while Brighton host Derby County.
