Asamoah Gyan to delay Al Ain pre-season over 'missing' friend Castro

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan could delay his pre-season training with Al Ain as the marine continue to mount search for his friend Castro.

Theophilus Tagoe and his girlfriend Janet Bandu are feared dead after he was drowned in the Volta Lake near the Ada Estuary last week during a jet ski expedition.

Gyan is likely to delay his travel to the United Arab Emirates where club side Al Ain are expected to begin pre-season on July 20.

“He surely does not want to go to Al Ain for their July 20th preseason camp, he doesn’t want to go,” a source close to the player said.

“Baffour and Asamoah are both hurt about the incident, but Baffour feels that Asamoah should return to the pitch and count on him to keep him update on the search.

“I really don’t think he is ready for the field now, he is in a state of shock right now.

Rescue efforts have so far proved unsuccessful.

well no one is blaming Gyan but there is something our Ghana footballer must learn from other European players giving out money for good cause instead of this endless musical party Gyan has been organizing for nothing. 2010 you broke the heart of the entire African continent and we are still mourning that chance we missed to get to the semi-final. Now 2014 you captain the team in Brazil and here we go with division and players have become musicians in Ghana camp all these things are Gyan's wish. Then you left Brazil to Ghana with the 100k for Ada river musical party and her you go. Gyan, we have nothing against you but you have to give yourself to God otherwise do expect more disaster.

Gyan you have the wealth and all the resources at your disposal......but all will not grant or give you happiness if you dont give yourself to God almighty. It could have been you but God is indirectly talking to u.

Castro is NOT dead. The guy is a wee smoker and might ACT stupid sometimes. He may have drove the jet ski to TOGO then left it on the lake. When He read in the Ghana Media the next day that he is dead while in Togo he doesn't know whether to come back or Not. Say NO to wee.Drink Pito, it is made from corn. We will find Castro ALIVE. Mark it here.

Death is only but a completion of life! It hurts to lose a friend the way your friend and girlfriend are departing/departed from you. However life goes on and may God be with you and us all, Ameen

I love Castro and Gyan.. but, The EVIL that men do, lives after them. Castro was a married man. But he he allowed infidelity (one of Satan's main weapons) take control of him. The woman sitting behind him on the jet ski on that day shouldve been his wife. Then nothing would've happened.
