Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has been ruled out of Al Ain’s next league match against Emirates on Wednesday after picking up an injury last Friday.

The 28-year-old picked up a suspected knee injury in Al Ain’s 3-1 win over Al Dhafra last Friday in the UAE top flight.

Al Ain first team doctor Boban Dangobek confirmed their lethal striker is expected to be out for a week after undergoing radiation tests on Sunday.

Details of Gyan’s injury was not given.

Dangobek has however designed an intensive treatment schedule for the Black Stars captain to enable him recover well in time for the side’s big league clash away to Al Ahli on October 27.

Gyan joins the likes of Jires Keembo and Omar Abdulrahman on the treatment table at Al Ain.
