Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko will outdoor their newly recruited players during a friendly against regional rivals AshantiGold on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors made the biggest signings during the second transfer window to reverse their dire run of poor form.

The Kumasi-based club have confirmed 14 new players have been bought to augment the squad.

Notable among the list includes Wa All Stars duo Nathaniel Asamoah and Mohammed Sabato.

Former Asec Mimosas striker Nafiu Iddrisu, Ahmed Toure and Yaw Frimpong, Michael Akuffo and Awal Mohammed.

"I can confirm that we have brought in 14 new players for the second round of the league and on Sunday they will all be on display at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi," Executive Chairman Dr Kofi Kodua Sarpong said.

''We have had a difficult campaign in the first round of the league and that was why it was imperative we bring in some new limps to help us bring back the smiles on the faces of our darling fans.''

The second phase of the league resumes on 9 January with a difficult away tie at All Stars.
