AshantiGold CEO Kudjoe Fianoo has dismissed media reports that South Africa-based Forwardzone have bought the club.
He rather explains that the two parties are close to agreeing a deal which will formally bring on board the online sports betting outfit Betway as their sponsors.
''We are in talks with Betway to sponsor the club but not to take over permanently as people are speculating,'' Fianoo told Graphic Sports in an interview.
''As it stands now we are 75 per cent complete with talks and I can promise you that they will be our sponsors during the new season.''
