Ashantigold coach Bashir Hayford has set a target of reaching the group phase of the CAF Champions League.
The miners open their campaign in the continental championship with a home tie against M.O Bejaia in the first leg of the preliminary stage of the Africa elite inter-club competition.
The Ghanaian champions will be seeking a favourable score at the Len Clay stadium on Sunday to make the return leg a mere formality.
And coach Bashir Hayford has set a target of reaching the money zone of the continental competition.
“We really don’t want to set a target for ourself. But personally I think the Money zone should be the least,” he said.
“We can fight on and progress very far but I think even if we are unable to reach the finals of the Semis, the last eight should be ok.”
