AshantiGold Chief Executive Kudjoe Fianoo is the frontrunner to become the General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association, Ghanasoccernet.com understands.

The current term of incumbent Kofi Nsiah expires at the end of the year and will not have his contract renewed.

Fianoo has said in previous interviews he will consider the possibility of applying for the post when it becomes vacant.

He is reported to be hugely popular among members of Congress and some members of the Executive Committee and could land the post on a silver platter.

Nsiah has been Ghana FA scribe since 2001.
