AshGold defender Kadiri Mohammed says he is determined to pay the faith reposed in him by Black Stars coach Avram Grant by ceasing a position in the first team.

Kadiri who can play both in defense and in a holding midfield role has been called up by Avram Grant for Ghana’s final AFCON qualifier against Gabon.

The AshGold defender and Wa All Stars goalie Richard Ofori are the privileged two from the Ghana Premier League.

He says he is grateful and is focused on working hard to break into the first team.

“I am very much humbled because it’s the aim of every player to play for his nation,” Kadiri said

“I am now working really hard to ensure that when I am giving the opportunity I will be able to stake a claim in the team.”

Ghana will play Rwanda in what is the final game of the AFCON 2017 qualifiers early next month.
