AshantiGold jumped to the defence of Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama after his “spectacular” howler condemned his side to a 1-0 defeat to Kotoko on Monday.
The Burkina Faso international mis-kicked a back pass from defender Richard Akrofi which curled into a gaping net.
The knives are out on Soulama and there are fears he could lose his position at the club.
But Dauda has explained the goalkeeper cannot be sorely blamed for the goal conceded.
He Tweeted: “Soulama uses the right technique to clear the ball when the pass came, he is very unfortunate. Keep your head up bro, I know how you feel.”
