Augsburg will hope their seven-game winning run against Stuttgart continues on Saturday when they pay a visit to the Mercedes-Benz Arena (kick-off 15:30CEST/13:30GMT).

Form

Stuttgart's topsy-turvy return to the top flight continued in midweek when they were beaten 2-0 at Borussia Mönchengladbach, making it three defeats out of three on the road for Hannes Wolf's charges.

It is a different story on home turf, however, where VfB have won both games so far this term. Scorer of the winning goal against Wolfsburg last week, Chadrac Akolo is likely to return, while Holger Badstuber is also in contention having recovered from a groin injury.

Augsburg made history by picking up seven points from their first four games of the campaign, and they raised that to ten points from five with an eye-catching 1-0 win over last season's runners-up RB Leipzig on Tuesday night.

They will be defending a four-game unbeaten streak in the heart of Swabia, although will be without captain Daniel Baier due to suspension.
