Striker Abdul Aziz Yusif is excited to be making a career step up by joining Asante Kotoko.

The ex Real Tamale United hitman sealed a two-year move to the champions before the closure of the secondary transfer window on Tuesday.

Aziz comes in as a cover for Ben Acheampong who is on the verge of joining Angolan club Petro Atletico.

Haven scored five of RTU’s eleven goals so far this season, the striker hopes his career step up only re-enforces his goal scoring prowess.

“I am glad to be joining a big club like Asante Kotoko,” he told Angel FM.

“Every player is looking to make a career step up and joining Kotoko will no doubt further mine.

“I hope to be scoring for my new club as I did with RTU and ultimately win over the fans.”

Aziz started his career with second tier club Royal Knights before joining AshantiGold in the 2007/08 season.
