Barcelona opened a 10-point lead in La Liga with a 2-0 win away to Eibar on Saturday.
Luis Suarez opened the scoring in the 16th minute when Lionel Messi played a through ball into the box and the Uruguayan rounded the keeper to score.
Eibar's hopes of an equaliser took a hit when Fabian Orellana was sent off after two bookings in an eight-minute span midway through the second half, the latter coming after he punched the ball away in frustration.
And Jordi Alba wrapped up the win by slotting in a loose ball at the near post for Barcelona's second goal with two minutes to play.
The result gives Barca a double-digit lead atop the table ahead of Atletico Madrid's game at home to Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
