Bashiru Gambo signs for new club in Germany

Ghanaian midfielder Bashiru Gambo has joined German third division outfit Jahn Regensburg.

Gambo sealed a one-year contract with the club to boost the experience in the team dominated by young players.

The 32-year-old has been signed by the club to help them secure promotion into the second division.

Jahn Regensburg are currently 8th in the 20-team league and they will be counting on the Ghanaian’s experience and silky skills to create opportunities for the strikers.

Gambo also plays as a striker and he could he used in the attacking department of the club.

The former Ghana international has played in Germany since clinching a move to the European country after excelling at the U17 World Cup in Ecuador in 1995.

He subsequently played for Ghana’s U20 side, the U23 and the Black Stars.
