Berekum Chelsea have asked their head coach Solomon Odwo to step aside to have an encounter with God, Ghanasoccernet.com understands.

Reports are that the religious-inclined Odwo had asked for some few days off duty to have an encounter with God but later rescinded his decision.

But the club’s CEO Nana Kwame Nketia has disclosed that despite his intention to rescind the decision to step aside, the club still insists he should step aside to have the encounter with God.

“The coach came to me that he wanted to have an encounter with God, so wanted to step aside for some time in his quest to receive God’s direction.”

“But he came to me later that he has rescinded his decision.

“However, I insisted that he should step aside in order to see the face of God, until then there is no way I will let him resume his work.

“Because I am a religious person, I won’t do anything to interfere any attempt to draw HIM nearer to God,” he told Happy FM.

Berekum Chelsea are currently 12th on the league table with 30 points, two points away from the relegation zone.
