Berekum Chelsea goalie Ernest Sowah touted as Kingson replacement

Ghana goalkeepers' trainer Edward Ansah has touted Berekum Chelsea gloves man Ernest Sowah an heir apparent to Richard Kingson.

The ex-Ghana shot-stopper believes the 24-year-old has the credentials to replace Kingson whose international future is in doubt.

Sowah is yet to make his Ghana debut since earning a first senior national team call-up in February this year for a friendly against Togo.

"He is very agile in post. He commands his defenders very well," Ansah told ETV Ghana Sports.

"I think those are the attributes that make him to be a good goalkeeper.''

He added that: ''He is doing well. He played for the club that won the league this season and so he is doing well and we need to encourage him. His performance in training has been encouraging."

Sowah was a member of the Ghana Under-17 team which played at the 2005 Fifa World Cup in Peru.
