Ghana thump Morocco 4-0 to edge closer to FIFA U17 Women's World Cup qualification

Ghana took a giant step towards qualifying for this year’s FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup after a convincing 4-0 over Morocco in the African final qualifying round first leg tie in Rabat.

The Black Maidens opened the scoring as early as the second minute through Mukarama Abdulah who coincidentally was wearing the No.2 jersey.

Mary Entoah added the second goal on 11 minutes of the game and then Abdullah scored her personal second and Ghana’s third in 18th minute.

Captain Sandra Owusu Ansah registered the fourth goal in the 62nd minute of the game.

Ghana made three changes in the second half bringing in Olivia Anokye for Mary Entoah who had a punch on her noise on the hour mark.

Barikisu Rahman came on for Adizatu K Mustapha on the 80th minute Grace Achampong for Mary Mukarama on the 87th minute.

The return leg will be played in Accra in a fortnight and the winner will advance to the finals to be hosted by Jordan.
