Black Queens head coach Yusif Basigi has set a semi final berth at the upcoming Aftican Women's Championship as the target for his side.

The female senior national team secured a ticket to the continental showpiece after mauling Tunisia by 4-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday to register a 6-1 aggregate win.

The established head coach of the Black Queens has quickly played down talks of winning the championship insisting getting to the semi final is the most important thing.

"The tournament is seven months away from mow and it will be too early to say we are going to win it. We have to get there first," he told the media after the game.

"Our main target for the competition is the semifinal stage. After getting to that stage, we will then set a new target," he added.

This year's AWC to be hosted in Cameroon between the 19th of November and 12 December will be the 12th edition to be played on the continent.
