Black Stars defender Ofosu-Ayeh delighted to join colleagues ahead of Comoros qualifier

Black Stars defender Phil Ofosu-Ayeh is excited to join his colleagues ahead of the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Comoros.

Ofosu-Ayeh, who plays for German Bundesliga II side Eintracht Braunschweig, arrived in Ghana on Tuesday night following difficulties with his flight arrangement.

The 23-year-old is expected to join his colleagues for their final training session at the Accra sports stadium on Wednesday before emplaning to Moroni for the first leg tie.

And the highly-rated right back has expressed his delight at joining his international teammates.

“I am happy to be here. This is my home and my second time in Ghana,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com

“I’m looking forward to the two games which is crucial for us if we want to go to the World Cup.

“It’s the start of the journey and we have to get it right.”

The German-based defender earned his second call-up into the team after impressing in an international friendly against Canada last month.
