Published on: 29 February 2016

In what appears a shocking turn of events, Aduana Stars trainer Amadu Nurudeen has resigned as the head coach of the side.

The coach tendered in his resignation letter after the side's 0-1 loss to Wa All Stars at home in the second week game of the Ghana Premier League.

The loss to Wa All Stars is the second in succession suffered by the side that had been highly tipped to win the Ghana Premier League.

Confirming the news, Amadu Nurudeen said in an interview that he resigned for personal reasons.

"I resigned for personal reasons. I think after losing two matches in a row, I don't need to be told that things are not going on well so I have decided to quit."

"I won't blame any player of management member for this. I am blaming myself for the poor start of the team that is why I have decided to lay down my tools," Nuru said.

Nurudeen becomes the first coach to say goodbye to the job after two matches.

Meanwhile Bechem United coach, Erradi Mohammed Adil had quit a few days to the start of the season.
